Surrounded by the Selkirk Mountains on the shore of the west arm of Kootenay Lake, Nelson offers the best of both worlds - heritage tours alongside an outdoor adventurer's playground. Or catch a ride on Streetcar #23 and take in the spectacular scenery along Kootenay Lake. The tram runs from May through to October, and the 20-minute tour is the perfect chance to sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking beauty of the Selkirk Mountains. If the adventurer inside you wants to get out and explore, venture out to Cody Caves and try your hand at spelunking. Take a canoe or kayak out past the shores of Kootenay Lake, or charter an aerial tour of the Kokanee Glacier. The adventures are endless!
